Starting my Garden 2025

This week, I started my garden. On the left is a raised bed that I made using a method known as “Hugelkultur”. Simply put, there are logs, branches, and leaves under the ground with the dirt placed on top. The structure of the bed is of branches I cut and sledged into the ground, plus some bricks on the ends. I planted dragon’s tongue and provider beans. The other raised bed’s structure is the same, but it is not incorporating hugelkultur. In between is a brick path. On the right side is a little chaos garden where I planted squash, sunflowers, tomatoes, marigolds, and chamomile! I threw charcoal on the beds and mulched everything with pine needles.
